Who is Lauren V. Cherichella?
Lauren is a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Environmental and Business Economics. During her academic years she became proficient in both quantitative and qualitative skills that she utilized to become proficient in marketing analysis.
How did she get experience so young?
She interned at both marketing and public relations firms, Foundations Marketing Group and Frank PR.
At Foundations Marketing Group she worked as an event coordinator and planned appearances at various conventions to introduce foreign wines to the American public. On a daily basis, she worked as a social media manager for the Foundation Marketing Group’s twitter, Facebook, and tumblr while also collaborating on branding with other workers to create new images for products.
It was in her senior year of college that she gained a new set of skills and joined the public relations world. She spent three days a week traveling to New York City’s Frank PR to work from 9 – 5 as a public relations intern. There she coordinated events for publicists and sent out multiple press releases a day for Frank PR’s clients. These clients include The Food Network, The Cooking Channel, Variety, and W Studios. She created 180 page wrap books, a collection of press releases, for the clients in preparation for film festivals such as SXSW festival using Cisionpoint and Compete.com. In the last few months of her internship, Lauren helped Frank PR’s employees in managing their presence at both the TriBeCa film festival and the Athena film festival.
After her graduation, Lauren took a deep dive into sales and became an agent with New York Life Insurance Company. There she tested and passed certifications for both a life and health producer in the states of NJ, NY, and PA. Lauren received hands on training for three months at NYL that focused on the topics of social media management, prospecting, and Insurance/annuity education. She used this knowledge to her advantage and planned events where she would go and prospect for new clientele. As an agent, Lauren had to market herself as a Insurance professional using social media marketing, which pushed her to start looking for a new position as a marketing professional.
What does she do now?
Lauren V. Cherichella is currently the Marketing Director of the independent insurance agency, Cosmo Insurance. There she works with different news outlets and oversees all advertising and marketing campaigns.
Her day to day duties include:
Preparing, editing, and sending out advertisements to be published in The Voice of Lakewood, The Network, and The Link.
Writing copy and optimizing blogs for SEO purposes (2-4 blogs a day focusing on the topics of health insurance, life insurance, long term care, and dental/vision insurance.)
Filming and editing videos to be posted on YouTube and optimized for SEO
Optimizing individual webpages for SEO and updating all social media profiles (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Google Business Listing)

Coordinating events and scheduling appointments for sales
Print Production: creating and designing rack cards, flyers, and brochures

Lauren is also a digital marketing officer for txtmobiz.com, a multichannel software company.
So what’s in store for Lauren V. Cherichella?
Well, right now Lauren Cherichella is part of the American Marketing Association and is currently studying to be an AMA Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) – Digital Marketing.
She also plans to get a mini MBA in Digital Marketing at Rutgers University starting January 2018.
